KEEGO X TEAM COLONIA KIDS WOMEN

Women's cycling has seen a remarkable resurgence in recent years, but there are still many challenges and obstacles women face in the sport.

The Women's Bike Team Colonia Kids Women is determined to advance women's cycling and advocate for women's visibility and participation in racing.

Women in cycling face several challenges that affect their participation and visibility. One of these is the limited presence of women in the media. This leads to less recognition and financial support for women in cycling, which in turn can limit their development and opportunities. In addition, stereotypical notions of femininity and the perception of cycling as a male-dominated discipline can lead to women being less motivated to join the sport or engage at a higher level.

Likewise, lower prize money, fewer starting places, lack of infrastructure are facts that can be demotivating and frustrating.

Team Colonia Kids Women and KEEGO will work closely together in the future to address these challenges and promote women's participation in cycling. By sharing their stories and experiences, the girls from Team Colonia Kids Women are reaching out to other women and motivating them to join cycling. They show that women are just as passionate and capable as men to race and set athletic goals. The collaboration is intended to signal that women are equal partners in cycling and that their achievements and successes deserve recognition.

The men's version of Team Colonia Kids has been around for a long time. Then, at the end of 2021, the decision was made that there should also be a women's team from the baptism. Motivated girls were sought. Team Colonia Kids Women was born: Elisa, Freya, Sarah, Birte and Laura could not be more different and yet they are united by their love of cycling. The feeling of freedom and independence, the feeling to grow beyond oneself and to be able to do everything. The members of the team bring different sporting backgrounds, but a common passion for cycling.

Elisa, Freya, Sarah, Birte and Laura are motivated women who have set out to increase the visibility of women in racing and encourage other women to get on their bikes as well. They want to share their own experiences and show that women can have just as much fun racing as men.

The bike offers the team the opportunity to grow beyond themselves and exceed their limits. It opens up new perspectives for them and boosts their self-confidence. These positive effects of cycling are reflected in their motivation and passion for the sport.

KEEGO accompanies the girls from Team Colonia Kids Women not only in training, but also in races. The use of the 500ml KEEGO drinking bottle proves ideal for the team's missions, as it is lightweight and squeezable. These features allow the girls to conveniently swap the bottle during their races and quickly and easily quench their thirst. In addition, the KEEGO drinking bottle is durable and sustainable, which fits perfectly with the girls' commitment to protecting the environment. They can concentrate fully on their races without having to worry about cumbersome or environmentally harmful drinking bottles.
