Titanium is an extremely valuable metal that offers a wide range of applications due to its physical and chemical properties.

Non-toxic
Metals such as iron, steel and aluminum can be toxic to humans.
In contrast, titanium is completely non-toxic to both humans and animals, in part because it is corrosion resistant. For this reason, titanium is often used in the medical industry.
Resistance to corrosion
A thin oxide layer forms on the surface of titanium when exposed to air. This layer is very difficult for most materials to penetrate.
As such, titanium exhibits fantastic corrosion resistance - and suffers no adverse changes (e.g. pitting, cracking) from corrosive substances.
Regardless of whether it is used indoors or outdoors, it will last for many years.
Strength
Titanium is one of the strongest metals on our planet. It also has the highest strength to density ratio of any metallic element in the periodic table.

Incredibly light
Titanium is also incredibly light. It has a specific gravity of 4.5 - that's about 40% lighter than an equal amount of copper and 60% lighter than an equal amount of iron.
Low thermal expansion
Titanium does not expand or contract nearly as much at extreme temperatures. In fact, it expands about 50% less than steel and therefore provides much greater structural stability.
Excellent processing possibilities
Despite its strength, titanium is a relatively soft and elastic refractory metal. As such, it can be easily machined and fabricated to produce a wide range of metal parts and components. Due to its resistance to oxidation, it does not require any additional protective measures.
