How do I keep it clean?
Titanium has an anti-stain surface. After using your KEEGO, giving it a good rinse is mostly enough. If you feel like it needs some extra treatment, you can use a soft sponge or brush and add some dishwashing liquid.
We do not recommend using a dishwasher (since there are so many different models out there). However, if you put it in the top drawer and make sure it does not get too hot, all should be fine.
Important: please do not use any abrasive materials (e.g. abrasive sponges or hard brushes) to clean your KEEGO.
How is KEEGO cleaner than a standard plastic bottle?
Basically, there exists no elastic plastic that would not leach some of its ingredients into the liquid. Sometimes you can taste that. Which of these substances are safe and which not is often not clear and only time will tell (since there are so many of them!). Pure titanium on the other hand is chemically stable and prevents anything from leaking into your drink.
Secondly, even if not visible, plastic has an uneven surface, allowing food particles to stick to it. When you fill a plastic bottle with juice, for example, some particles of your drink will remain in the bottle even after you emptied and cleaned it. These remaining particles are the foundation of mould that starts growing. Next time you fill your bottle with water and drink from it, you will taste it. Titanium, on the other hand, has a closed, anti-stain surface. That's why KEEGO is easier to keep clean.
Does titanium prevent mould-growing in KEEGO?
No bottle on earth is safe from mould growing - but the properties of titanium can prevent this to a utmost degree.
